Privacy Notice
1. Data controller
As EK Hukuk & Danışmanlık – Emre Küçük, Attorney at Law (“EK Hukuk”), we care about privacy and the confidentiality of personal data. As data controller, we would like to inform you about how your personal data is processed under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “Law”) and related legislation.
This notice covers the personal data of website visitors, people who fill in the consultation form, our clients, prospective clients and stakeholders. Where the English and Turkish versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.

2. Website visitors
We process the IP addresses of website visitors for site analytics, improvements and a better user experience, to understand how the site is used, based on our legitimate interest under Article 5/2(f) of the Law, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are used only if you give consent in the cookie banner, based on your explicit consent. This tool collects information such as browser language, time zone and time spent on pages, and shares visit information with us only in anonymous, aggregated form (e.g. how many visitors came from which country). Our site contains links to our social media accounts. If you click these links, the platforms concerned may collect your personal data under their own policies; we have no control over this processing. We recommend reviewing their privacy notices.
3. Consultation form
When you fill in the consultation form, the data below is processed to respond to your request and arrange the initial consultation, on the legal basis that it is directly related to the conclusion of a contract under Article 5/2(c) of the Law.

Please do not share special categories of personal data, such as health information or criminal convictions, in your message; these can be discussed during the consultation if needed.
4. Clients
The personal data of our clients, or of the representatives, officers and employees of our corporate clients, is processed within advisory services and legal proceedings in order to serve and represent our clients, as part of establishing a power of attorney or concluding and performing a service contract, under Article 5/2(c) of the Law.
This data is also processed to manage our business relationship, communicate with our clients and keep them informed of legal developments, based on our legitimate interest under Article 5/2(f) of the Law, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed.
5. Prospective clients and stakeholders
The personal data of prospective clients requesting a proposal, or of the representatives, officers and employees of prospective corporate clients, and of stakeholders, academics and colleagues we meet at events or whose data we lawfully obtain from public sources, is processed to manage contact details, communicate with them and inform them of legal developments and events, under Article 5/2(f) of the Law.
6. Legal obligations
Personal data may be disclosed to public authorities without your explicit consent where lawfully requested or where disclosure is required by mandatory legislation. It may also be shared with courts and competent authorities to the extent necessary for an actual or potential legal dispute involving EK Hukuk. In these cases, data is processed on the legal bases of fulfilling legal obligations (Art. 5/2(ç)) and establishing, exercising or protecting a right (Art. 5/2(e)).
7. Transfers
Your personal data may be shared, only to the extent necessary for the purposes above, with third parties based in Türkiye from whom we receive services, support and advice, and with competent public authorities. It may also be shared with authorities entitled by law to request information and, in case of disputes, with competent authorities.
If you consent to analytics cookies, visit data obtained through Google Analytics may be processed on servers located abroad.
8. Collection method
Your personal data is collected through the consultation form and cookies on our website, and through information and documents you send us by email, phone or in person, verbally, in writing or electronically, by automated or non-automated means.
9. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the Law, you may apply to the data controller to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed
- Request information if it has been processed
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
- Know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred
- Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate
- Request deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met
- Request that corrections and deletions be notified to those third parties
- Object to an outcome against you resulting solely from automated analysis
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing
